Performance Wireless 802.11AC

Performance Wireless

On this page we'll again test in two stages. Wireless 802.11AC (5 GHz band) PC to a LAN PC through the router and reverse. We measure throughput from client to client and on each machine we setup a RAMDISK on which we'll force a compressed file copy from one side to the other. We measure the peak bandwidth reached and measure a 10 meters.

** Please note that each location and thus performance e level is different depending on where you live, how many other WIFI routers sit in the neighbourhood, city, country-land, steel reinforced buildings, etc. So these numbers can vary for you.

Untitled-8

Above we measure the throughput of data-traffic at 10 meters distance from a LAN PC towards the router which connects to a PC Wireless with a 802.11ac compatible NIC. We pass through a steel enforced wall.

Untitled-9

Above we measure the throughput of data-traffic at 10 meters distance from a the Wireless NIC (802.11ac) based PC towards the router which connects to a PC through a LAN connection. WIFI passes through a steel enforced wall.
