The backside of the product shows your typical reference design with a backplate.
The reference boards all come with a second BIOS and a switch; mess up a flash and flick the switch to go back to a default non-writable firmware. Make note of two CrossfireX connectors, this card can be set up in 2/3/4-way multi-GPU mode. We'll be testing that in a separate article of course.
Located at the top side of the card we spot power connectors. The R6970 will require one 6-pin PCIe PEG and one 8-pin PCIe PEG power connector.
