Welcome to Guru3D's Rig of the Month !

We just adore hardware. And sometimes some you guys really make a PC that really stands out. We ask you to answer a few simple questions and send in photo's of your rig. Each month we'll have a look at the entries and perhaps pick you and post your PC with photo's and everything here at Guru3D.com Here you can find out what you need to do and win a great prize brought to you with the courtesy of OCZ Technology.

Guru3D Rig of the Month is sponsored by Corsair

Each Month One Winner walks away with a cool prize. Starting 2014 the winner of the months Rig of the Month will two prizes delivered at their doorsteps compliments of Corsair. This round we'll award the winner a Corsair Obsidian 250D and a Corsair Hydro H75 Liquid cooling kit. If you want to build a Mini ITX system without sacrificing expansion, flexibility, or performance, the Obsidian Series 250D is your answer. Though it’s small on the outside, the 250D has room for standard components like a full-size 5.25” optical drive, a full-length GPU, a 240mm radiator, and even a full-size ATX power supply. The sleek aluminum front fascia provides the striking yet subtle design that Obsidian Series cases are known for, and a top window gives you a close-up view of your high-performance components. The 250D is a great choice if you want full size performance in a small space. Would you like to learn more about the Obsidian 250D, you can read the Guru3D review right here.

Each month here at Guru3D.com we feature one of you guys, your PC, your DIY project. It is quite honestly amazing how much detail and dedication you put into an PC, and every now and then it really shows.

The Man and his Build

The Guru3D Rig of the Month February 2014 was made by Amlett, he designed a PC that is not extremely modded, but very stylish, simple and subtle. Yeahs these keywords would suit his rig called the Omen the best. Looking at is is understanding as his rig oozes passion of the build. So have a peek at Guru3Ds Rig of The Month February 2014.

1. What is your name / nickname /age / occupation?

Amlett, 32 year old. I'm system engineer in a spanish ISP providing IaaS, RaaS and Saas using virtual enviroments.

2. What did you first come here for?

Guru3d is one of my three references for hardware reviews and, of course, I love your rig of the month section. I've been wanting to build a rig for this section since I first saw it. My main hobby is building rigs, so having one rig of the month is a great achievement for me.

3. What do you mainly use the system for?

Gaming, benching and some virtualization labs for work. I have other computers at home for different uses. Of course this is my most powerful rig so this is the one used for heavy tasks.

For gaming I use a Samsung 2233RZ for BF4 at 120hz (incredibly fast panel), and a Dell 2709W for everything else (S-PVA panel with great blacks, colors and acceptable gaming response time for non-online FPS games)
