The Kioxia NVMe drives presentation

First up is the Kioxia Exceria Pro 2 TB. It has already been reviewed in a separate test by Hilbert. It’s a PCIe Gen4 x4 drive with up to 7,300 MB/s Read Performance.

  • Capacity - 2 TB
  • Max Sequential Read/Write Speed - 7,300/6,400 MB/s
  • Max Random Read/Write Speed - 800,000/1,300,000 IOPS
  • Warranty - 5 years

Features

  • BiCS FLASH
  • NVMe 1.4 Technology
  • M.2 2280 Form Factor
  • PCIe Gen4 x4
  • SSD Utility Management Software

The second NVMe disk is the Kioxia Exceria G2 1 TB. It’s a PCIe Gen3 x4 drive with up to 2,100 MB/s Read Performance, so a pretty basic NVMe 1.3 SSD. Also, here you’ll have a short presentation below.

  • Capacity - 1 TB
  • Max Sequential Read/Write Speed - 2,100/1,700 MB/s
  • Max Random Read/Write Speed - 360,000/400,000 IOPS

Guru3D NVMe Thermal Test - the heatsink vs. performance
We made two Thermal Paste roundups – one in 2019 and the second one in 2021. Why won’t we try something else and check the temperature influence for other PC components than the CPU/GPU? Maybe it would be good to test the importance of the radiator on the NVMe drive performance? Why’s that?
