Corsair Carbide 100R Silent review -
Final words and conclusion
Final words and conclusion
For 50 to 60 USD Corsair has a nice little offering with the 100R, certainly its not a grand product or anything, in fact it's quite a bit of metal and plastic with somewhat common looks. The 100R however does shin in its price range thanks to a very decent feature-set. That said for the same amount of money you can also purchase the 200R, and I find that chassis to be more pleasing to the eyes. But hey, you receive an all black design chassis with mainstream features. There's plenty of storage space, it is tool free, fairly large graphics cards fit and sure there's plenty of options for cooling as well including a tiny 3-step fan controller. The Silent edition of course offers padded side panels.
The overall build quality is normal and the features offered will give the average PC aficionado plenty to work with. Again, large graphics cards will fit as well as standard ATX, Mini ITX and Micro ATX motherboards. Added benefits are of course the two USB 3.0 ports, the mainboard cutout on the motherboard tray and the overall tool free design.
If we rip 'r open then on the inside the work space inside is sufficient, with overall easy access to pretty much anything and with 7 expansions lots there is room for two graphics cards as well. Albeit due to the compact design we'd say - stick to one card max.
The all black interior cool looks, the CPU back plate cutout for easy installation/replacement of CPU-coolers and overall features that belong in the enthusiast segment. There are plenty of grommet holes for cable routing but a missed opportunity are the rubber inlays for them. Also some rubber feet would have been nice. A nice plus is the fan controller and the dual 120mm fan fans.
Final Words
Overall we think the Carbide 100R is a reasonable product that has been priced reasonable as well. It's a simple design chassis that offers nice features including sound dampening, an all black design including the cabling. It's tool-free and has enough storage space. Inside there is decent room to work in and to manage your cabling. You can fit two optical units and up-to four HDDs/SSDs, and on top you will spot two USB 3.0 headers. The build quality I don't have anything to complain about for a product in this price segment, combined with the sufficient enough feature set make this chassis interesting. We can recommend the Carbide 100R as a value chassis, though I'd recommend you to look at the 200R as well.
In the 50 to 60 USD / EURO range we feel it's priced fair and offers plenty features. So if you are in the market for a compact chassis that is loaded with them features and this style, well keep it on your short-list we say as it offers nice value for money.

Today, we are checking the Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro SL 3600 MHz CL18 (pretty average latency figure) memory in a 32 GB set consisting of two 16 GB modules. This is not the first time we’re looking at the Corsair RAM. It was for example the Vengeance RGB Pro (4x8 GB 3200MHz) or Dominator Platinum (4x8 GB 3600 MHz CL16). Ok, but what’s different comparing the above mentioned Vengeance RGB Pro series?
Corsair K70 RGB TKL keyboard review
The Corsair K70 RGB TKL comes from a range of keyboards that we already presented here on guru3d. We reviewed the K70 RGB Rapidfire Mk2, which comes also in a low-profile version. So, the first major difference this time is the tenkeyless format. Other than that, this keyboard has not changed much as far as the general concept is concerned. It is, of course, still an RGB mechanical keyboard, but this time it comes in a smaller package.
