It is a bit of a feature alright, you can see that the PSU has its own compartment, you could almost fit a Diesel powered generator in there. Fantastic to hide all the plugs, cables and heck, extra cables you do not use as this compartment will be hidden from eye-sight.

You mount a retention bracket to the power supply, slide it inwards and secure it with four thumb screws. Very easy and as stated, to the right an immense amount of space is at your disposal with proper cable routing options.

The stands at the bottom have rubber pads to prevent resonating noises. You can see another a dust filter here, easy to take out and clean for sure.

At the backside we see that extensive mainboard tray cutout again, that's for replacing fan brackets that need to be mounted at the backside of the motherboard. Easy access. That cutout is huge alright, yet does not make the mainboard tray any less sturdy. In fact the entire MasterCase feels like a sturdy chunk of steel. The paint job everywhere is excellent and very scratch resistant as well.

Measured from the mobo backplate to panel roughly 2 cm. But there is so much other space that cable routing just isn't a problem whatsoever.
