Once we strip away the side panels we can have a look at the interior. You will notice that the design is very different from what we are used to with that bottom compartment. Lovely to see are the removable drive cages we did not install the extra unit for the Pro model, in fact anno 2015 we only install SSDs here in the office and get our big data from a NAS. You can install SSD/HDDs there with the cabling leading though the backside. The MasterCase 5 (Pro) motherboard spacing is a bit smaller due to the large PSU compartment though. But there is plenty reach and space to access the motherboard. Small note to Cooler Master, please install all ATX standoff mounting screws so you can put in and secure the motherboard.

At the top you can see space for extra cooling, if you opt the pro model you can get liquid cooling support with 120 mm, 240 mm, 280 mm radiator sizes (Pro model required). On the left we spot a fan, obviously the rear exhaust fan which is an included 140 mm fan x 1, 1200 RPM. It's good to see Cooler Master use black cabling for the fans, not yellow/red/black like we have noticed in the past. It is all about detail. The usual spaghetti of cables is mostly for front panel connectivity. Cable routing is just not a problem with this chassis though. Mind you that the front-panel USB 3.0 connectors must be connected to the proprietary Intel USB 3.0 header on the motherboard.

At the rear we see that 140 mm fan, 7 PCI card slots and all the way at the bottom space for a PSU. There are several grommet holes as well with rubber inlays and a HUGE gaping hole so you can work properly at the backside on your motherboard to mount new cooling solutions. I mean THAT is a proper motherboard tray hole.
