Asus Xonar Xense 7.1 Soundcard review -
Sennheiser PC350
Sennheiser PC350 Headset
The design styling of the PC350s is very modern with sleek, clean lines almost giving them a futuristic look. The headphones are said to be optimized for gaming that uses directional audio such as First Person Shooters. They are also closed which blocks out most of the music and sound effects from gaming.
We found the pivot joints to be very tough and these cans don't feel like they will snap off during heavy gaming usage. The microphone can also be turned back and moved out of your face if you are not using it for your games.
The microphone has noise cancellation and we found it to be quite sensitive for those who talk to their squad during games. The set also has a small control pod, which offers some signal attenuation and a microphone mute switch.
The attenuator will lower the output volume of the headphones but will not silence them completely. The pod also has a small clip on the back so you can connect them to your belt or shirt for easy location during gaming.
ASUS Xonar U7 review test and benchmarks. The U7 offers 24-bit/192KHz recording and playback with 114dB SNR, S/PDIF output, 7.1 channel analog output, dedicated stereo headphone output, a volume knob, and it's all powered of a USB 2.0 port. The headphone output comes with its own DAC and adjustable gain settings, making the U7 capable of driving just about any pair of headphones to ear-splitting levels.
