The MSI X99S XPOWER AC (review here), one of MSI’s new Intel X99 based OC motherboards, just obliterated the 3DMark - Fire Strike world record with scoring a staggering 40052 marks together with a 4-way MSI GTX 980 GAMING 4G setup. Microsoft Reports Record First-Quarter Revenue

Weird, they just announced layoffs right ? Microsoft announced revenue of $23.20 billion for the quarter ended September 30, 2014. Gross margin, operating income and diluted earnings per share ("EPS") for the quarter were $14.93 billion, $5.84 billion and $0.54 per share, respectively.

You can now download 3DMark Windows v1.4.780, Futuremark released a 3rd build in weeks time as there was another issue. This v1.4.780 fixes a compatibility issue affecting laptops that use NVIDIA Optimus graphics switching technology. The benchmark test workloads have not been touched, so scores are unchanged and there is no change in functionality to users running a system that does not use NVIDIA Optimus.

Google today announced a new service called Inbox. The app, which was developed by Google's Gmail team, offers a new take on email by categorizing emails and highlighting the important details therein. Inbox offers three core features: bundles, highlights, and reminders/assists. Bundles cetagorize similar emails, such as bank statements or purchases, to make them easier to read and dismiss en masse.

Intel might stop mobile subsidies

Market watchers have speculated that Intel will stop providing subsidies for its mobile device solutions to eliminate losses from the business; however, sources from PC players believe Intel is likely to continue offering subsidies to some of its larger clients, such as Asustek Computer, through different methods in order to maintain orders.
