Haswell processor release date finalized

Intel has announced that it will launch Haswell based processors June 4th as introduction date for its Haswell-architecture based processors. The 22nm processors will be the 4th generation Core processors for consumers. With the help of a countdown time you can mark the date, the new processors should be a notch faster, get improved graphics performance and be more energy efficient.

Intel Ivy Bridge-E Core i7-4960X benchmarks leak

Check out some benchmark results of Intel's Core i7-4960X "Ivy Bridge-E" processor as Asian tech board Coolaler decided to leak them. The chip was compared directy to the Core i7-3970X "Sandy Bridge-E" on an identical system. The conclusion is that Ivy Bridge-E seems to be about 5-10 percent faster than its predecessor.
