We test and review the GeForce GTX Titan. The GeForce GTX Titan is NVIDIAs fastest single GPU based graphics card they have ever built. It is based on the GK110 GPU and has an astonishing 7.1 Billion transistors and is as such is nearly as fast as one GeForce GTX 690 with two GTX 680 GPUs ! We test the product with the hottest games like Battlefield 3, Sleeping Dogs, Far Cry 3, Medal of Honor Warfighter, Hitman Absolution and many more. Next to that with the three samples we have at hand we'll be looking at SLI performance scaling in another article as well.

Sony announces the Playstation 4 - Well Sort Off

Weirdest launch ever ? Without showing even one photo of the product Sony Entertainment announced the Playstation 4 to much fanfare today in New York. The company hopes to make use of its acquisition of Gaikai in the next generation console by incorporating its cloud technology. It also hopes to make its online platform a lot more social than it was back with the Playstation 3. Unlike past launches, Sony declined to show off the console itself. Instead, it showed off the new DualShock 4 controller and the games that will be running on the new Playstation 4 when it hits the market during Holiday 2013.

NVIDIA Tegra 4i-based Phoenix reference phone shown

NVIDIA has showeed its first reference smartphone design. Based on the Tegra 4i "Grey" SoC with ARM Cortex-A9 cores, the Phoenix is a 5" phone with a 1080p Full HD screen. It's not a superphone but a mid to high-range handset, the Tegra 4i is less powerful than the Tegra 4, and the emphasis is primarily on multimedia, photography and LTE.

Dell profit drop 31 percent year-over-year

In what seems like one of the last times that Dell has to publish its quarterly earnings report, the company announces a fiscal Q4 2013 revenue of $14.3 billion, down 11 percent year-over-year, with a profit of $530 million, a drop of 31 percent year-over-year. The crash is particularly stunning when you look at the consumer division, which was once Dell's bread-and-butter.

AMD Jaguar architecture has four independent cores

Specs on AMD's upcoming Jaguar architecture have surfaced. This new core will replace the two-year old Bobcat and will take on Intel's Atom processors. The Jaguar APU will be offered in TDPs ranging from 5W to 25W, and will target everything from tablets to entry-level notebooks and nettops. AMD presented the Jaguar architecture at the 60th ISSC 2013 conference, the company confirmed that the chip is made on TSMC's 28nm HKMG process and that it has four x86-64 cores that, unlike Bulldozer, are completely independent, they only share a 2MB L2 cache.

OCZ announces its new Vertex 3.20 solid state disk features 20nm NAND flash memory. The disk will be available shortly in 120GB and 240GB capacities. The new Vertex 3.20 SSD is a 2.5-inch, 6 Gbps SATA III-based Multi-Level Cell (MLC) drive that implements the feature-set of the Vertex 3 Series but is built around smaller, state-of-the-art NAND flash process geometry.

This display driver supports Windows Vista/Windows 7/Windows 8. There are no full release notes released just yet, but given the timing, this most certainly is an optimized Crysis 3 driver.

Nvidia today announced the Tegra 4i, a smartpone chip with an integrated LTE modem on the same physical die. This is a follow-on to the Tegra 4 that was announced at this year’s CES 2013. Formerly known as “Project Grey”, Tegra 4i delivers the highest performance of any single-chip smartphone processor and is only half the size of its nearest competitor (Snapdragon 800).

The board is available in the US and EU beginning today. ASUS today announced the TUF Series SABERTOOTH 990FX/GEN3 R2.0, the world’s first AMD-based motherboard to feature PCI Express 3.0 An interesting release as I'm not even sure of AMD's processors are PCI Express 3.0 compatible, which is a requirement.

Crysis 3 - PC Graphics Comparison

YouTuber ResetLoad has made a comparison between the various graphical preset options. ResetLoad used a Core i7 Sandy Bridge @ 4.5ghz with an NVidia Geforce GTX 690 and 8gb Vengeance RAM. Though admittedly, the YouTube movie is horrendously compressed. Ah well, fun to watch.
