The HAF XB  has an all black interior, and you know what they say... once you go black. As stated the top adn both side panels can be removed, each panel is secured with two thumb screws.

Now the chassis has two compartments. in the upper compartment you can see and reach the motherboard, memory, cooler etc. But the lower compartment holds the PSU and storage/optical units. To be able to reach that compartment Cooler Master made the motherboard tray removable. We remove four thumbscrews and then are able to remove the tray.

With the motherboard tray removed we can now look from top to bottom. Lower left is the PSU area, to the right the drive cages. We'll look more in-depth in a minute though.

Inside the chassis you'll spot a small carton box. Bundled items are brackets for fixing 2.5" devices into the bays, a bracket for fixing a 2.5" device inside the case, and a bag of screws, standoffs and  with a good handful of cable ties for keeping things tidy.

Right the motherboard tray is installed again. To the front we see two pre installed 120mm fan, it has peripheral molex and 3-pin connectors. this would be an ideal mounting spot for an LCS solution. Everything is pre drilled for you to accommodate up to a 2x120mm radiator for water cooling. All you need to do is mount it. You mount it at the fan location. Basically the chassis can support Water cooling 240mm radiator x 1(front), 120mm radiator x 1(rear).

The interior overall is very well designed and for a mid tower, there's a lot of room to work with, even the larger components fit. For motherboard installation, the HAF XB uses the standard motherboard stand-offs that are positioned throughout the tray to fit specific motherboard sizes. For your information, the motherboard form factor sizes supported are mATX, ATX, not EATX though.

For 2.5" storage devices such as the SSDs you'll spot one cage. To the left, the small cage can house four 2.5" storage units like SSDs. You get only two 3.5" HDD installation, through the X-Dock frontside. The chassis weighs in at 8.2kg / 18.1lb btw.
