Alright, it's time for some photos. We received the Ryzen 5 1500X and 1600X processors. Once you have one in your hand you realize these are a little heavy. They should be with eight cores.

The Ryzen 5 1600X processor clocks in at a base-clock of 3.6 GHz, yet can Turbo to 4.0 GHz depending on load levels versus active threads; this six-core processor will be threaded to twelve threads. Given it's an 8-core architecture (with 2 cores disabled), AMD is really nicely managing that clock frequency. Not bad for 249 USD.

The quad-core 1500X (to the left) is clocked at a base-clock of 3.5 GHz, yet can Turbo to 3.7 GHz depending on load levels versus active threads; this four-core processor will be threaded to eight threads, all for 189 USD. Below, some additional close-up photos of the processors.
