Yamaha has unveiled the WLX222 Wi-Fi 6 wireless LAN access point. It will be introduced in October 2022, with the primary body colors being black and white.

The wireless throughput is limited to 1,775 Mbps, while the cable LAN has a 2.5 Gigabit connector to improve communication speed. Furthermore, even when a large number of terminals are linked, the transfer speed is suppressed and pleasant communication is feasible by effectively utilising the bandwidth using "OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access)." Furthermore, IEEE802.3af power reception is supported, and the standard IEEE802.3af compliant PoE switch for Wi-Fi 5th generation wireless LAN access points may be utilized as is, saving installation costs.

Furthermore, when replacing or adding equipment, simply connect to the LAN and enable the on-premises management function "cluster management function," as well as Yamaha's unique cloud-type network integrated management service "Yamaha Network Organizer (YNO)," "Radio Optimization function," to avoid problems by learning and optimizing the wireless environment.

The antennas are two 2.4GHz/5GHz shared directional antennas and two 2.4GHz/5GHz shared omnidirectional antennas, the number of connected terminals is limited to 70 in the 5GHz band and 70 in the 2.4GHz band, and the encryption methods are CCMP (AES), TKIP, WEP (64bit/128bit), and 192-bit security modes. The body is 190mm broad, 190mm deep, and 51.7mm tall, and it weighs 880g. it's priced south of 430 USD.
