An entry was spotted for the Ryzen 7 5700 for the Socket AM4. While specific pricing remains undisclosed, AMD has listed the product on its website, indicating an April 2022 release (yes correct), despite its apparent absence in the retail market to date. The Ryzen 7 5700 is an 8-core and 16-thread processor, distinguished by its lack of integrated graphics. It utilizes the 7 nm silicon and offers clock speeds similar to the Ryzen 7 5700G APU. This model can essentially be considered a version of the 5700G with a disabled integrated graphics unit (iGPU).

It has a base CPU frequency of 3.70 GHz, marginally lower than the 5700G's 3.80 GHz, but both achieve a maximum boost frequency of 4.60 GHz. Each "Zen 3" core in the processor is paired with 512 KB of dedicated L2 cache and a shared 16 MB L3 cache. The processor has a thermal design power (TDP) rating of 65 W and includes a Wraith Stealth cooling solution. A key limitation of the Ryzen 7 5700 compared to models like the 5700X is the lack of PCIe Gen 4 support. It is restricted to the older Gen 3 standard, which can affect the performance of NVMe storage with a limit at roughly 3 Gb/sec.

The initial disclosure of this CPU occurred over 18 months ago. Additionally, a verified photograph of the CPU has been available since October of the previous year, coinciding with its initial inclusion in our database. The reasons behind AMD's decision to delay its release remain speculative.
