Samsung Electronics America has expanded its USB flash drive offerings by introducing a 512GB capacity for its BAR Plus and FIT Plus models. These USB 3.2 Gen 1 Flash Drives are designed to meet increasing demands for data storage with enhanced storage capacity and performance. The new 512GB drives achieve read speeds of up to 400 MB/s and write speeds of up to 110 MB/s, allowing for the rapid transfer of large files, such as a 3 GB 4K UHD video to a PC in approximately 10 seconds. Compatible with USB 3.1 and backward compatible with USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports, these drives support a range of devices and are optimized for operating systems including Windows, Mac OS, and Linux.

The BAR Plus model features a durable metal body with an integrated key ring, combining practicality with a modern aesthetic suitable for various devices from laptops to tablets. The FIT Plus model offers a compact, low-profile design ideal for continuous use in devices such as laptops, televisions, and car audio systems without being obtrusive.

Both models are built to last, protected against water, extreme temperatures, x-rays, drops, and magnetic impacts, and come with a five-year limited warranty. The new 512GB options are available in Titan Grey and Champagne Silver for the BAR Plus, and a standard design for the FIT Plus, both retailing at $79.99.

Additionally, Samsung plans to complement these offerings with a USB Type-C 512 GB flash drive later in the year, further broadening its data storage solutions.
