Razer Launches Gen-2 Analog Optical Switches with Enhanced Features for Gaming Keyboards

Razer, based in California, USA, announced on April 17, 2024, the release of its second generation of analog optical switches, known as the Razer Analog Optical Switches Gen-2. These switches, first introduced with the Razer Tartarus Pro in 2019, have undergone significant enhancements and are now featured in the new Huntsman V3 Pro series keyboards.The Razer Analog Optical Switches Gen-2 offer a customizable actuation point ranging from 0.1 to 4.0 mm, an improvement over the previous generation. This feature allows for rapid trigger reset, which immediately reactivates the input as soon as the key is released. Additionally, these switches have a reduced latency of only 1.7 milliseconds, catering to the demands of fast-paced gaming scenarios.

Available in full-size, tenkeyless, and 60% keyboard layouts, the Huntsman V3 Pro series equipped with these switches supports diverse gaming setups. The switches are designed with a 40g actuation force and are rated for durability of up to 100 million keystrokes, emphasizing their long-term reliability for gaming applications.
