MSI unveiled the MPG 341CQPX, an advanced QD-OLED curved monitor, characterized by a significant refresh rate of 240Hz and a curvature of 1800R. This model is an improvement over the previously released MAG 341CQP, which had a refresh rate of 175Hz. Industry sources, such as TFT Central, suggest that this new version will transition from the initial Samsung QD-OLED "Gen 1" panel to a more advanced "Gen 2.5" panel, incorporating more efficient organic materials and a refined pixel layout for enhanced display quality. The MPG 341CQPX features a 34-inch, 21:9 aspect ratio curved QD-OLED screen, boasting a resolution of 3440 x 1440, an exceptionally rapid 0.02ms GtG response time, a high contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1, standard dynamic range (SDR) brightness of 250 nits, and a peak high dynamic range (HDR) brightness of 1000 nits.

The monitor supports a 240Hz high refresh rate and is compatible with variable refresh rate (VRR) technologies from both Nvidia and AMD, ensuring smooth and adaptive gameplay. Connectivity options include a DisplayPort 1.4 with Display Stream Compression (DSC) support, two HDMI 2.1 ports capable of delivering 4K resolution at 120Hz, and a USB-C port with 98W Power Delivery (PD) for charging. The monitor also offers multiple USB ports for data transfer and supports Keyboard, Video, Mouse (KVM) functionality, enhancing its versatility for various setups.

MSI has integrated OLED Care 2.0 into this monitor to address potential OLED screen burn-in issues, providing a three-year warranty against such defects. As of the announcement, MSI has not disclosed the price or the specific release date for the MPG 341CQPX monitor. For context, the previous model, the MAG 341CQP with a 175Hz refresh rate, was priced at approximately 775 USD in China.
