It is a trendy new thing to take an old game, and make bring it up to today's graphics card standards again. It will literally save tons of money to re-release the same game just in a new jacket. The next in line for it is rumored to be the Mafia II/III series.
Admittedly I was a huge fan of the game series when released and if I recall it correctly it was hyped up with PhysX effects, that in the end blew up in their face performance-wise. Mafia II: Definitive Edition and Mafia III: Definitive Edition have been published on a website from a Taiwanese approval authority. A few days ago, Mafia II: Definitive Edition also appeared with a Korean inspection body. Mafia II first launched for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC in August 2010, followed by Mac in December 2011. As its name implies, Mafia II: Definitive Edition is likely an updated release for modern platforms. Mafia II: Definitive Edition and Mafia III: Definitive Edition already has been rated for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in Taiwan.
Mafia II and III could receive a remaster for PC and consoles
