Lenovo unveiled the Chromebox Micro, a compact Chromebox designed with a fanless and ventless approach. Announced on December 4, 2023, at the Digital Signage Experience (DSE) trade show, this innovative device is set to hit the market in Q1 2024, with an estimated starting price of $219.

  • Fanless and Ventless Design: Lenovo's "Chromebox Micro" is the company's first micro-form factor Chromebox boasting a fanless and ventless design. This unique construction ensures dust resistance and durability, allowing for uninterrupted operation in challenging environments, making it suitable for 24/7 use.

  • 4K Screen Output: The device supports 4K resolution for high-quality display output. It is designed for easy mounting on the back of displays, providing a clutter-free setup. Lenovo has collaborated with Instorescreen to offer a choice of 15.6-inch and 21.5-inch displays with integrated storage space for the Chromebox Micro.

  • Hardware Specifications: Powered by the Intel Celeron N4500 processor from the Jasper Lake generation, the Chromebox Micro offers 8GB of memory and 32GB of eMMC storage. It provides a variety of connectivity options, including USB Type-C x 2, USB Type-A x 2, HDMI x 1, Ethernet x 1, and an audio jack x 1.

  • Compact Dimensions: The Chromebox Micro measures 163mm in width, 79mm in depth, and 19.7mm in thickness, with a weight of 450g.
