Following Google's visit to the LHC in the summer, the internals of the world's largest particle accelerator are now open for public exploration.

Six-sided panoramic images were taken every three metres and the project will continue to be expanded to offer views of more CERN experiments.

Using a bike-mounted camera system, aka the Street View Trike, Google navigated the hi-tech machinery at the Swiss facility capturing control rooms as well as 1,200 metres of the main loop and four main experiments (ALICE, ATLAS, CMS and LHCb). Faces of CERN staff were blurred to protect their identities, but scientific scrawlings on walls and machinery have been left on display.
