GALAX is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2023. Known for its presence in the overclocking community and its Hall of Fame (HOF) series, GALAX has withdrawn from the Taiwan market due to strategic changes. To commemorate its two-decade milestone, GALAX has released two special editions of the GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards. The GeForce RTX 4070 20th Anniversary Edition from GALAX features a distinctive design. The cooling system, while not utilizing a Vapor Chamber, integrates heat pipes and a copper base effectively handling the 200W Total Graphics Power (TGP) of the GeForce RTX 4070. In Performance mode, this edition is capable of reaching a TGP of 215W.

Diverging from the white and carbon fiber black color schemes of the GeForce RTX 4090 20th Anniversary Edition, this model focuses on the GeForce RTX 4070. The cooling architecture includes two front fans and one rear fan, mirroring the design of NVIDIA's Founders Edition for the GeForce RTX 40 series. This dual-slot card features an innovative hidden 8-Pin power supply design. However, its PCB layout, which allows for two DRAMs, is not interchangeable with the GeForce RTX 4070 Super or GeForce RTX 4070 Ti due to differences in the PCIe 8-Pin power supply configuration. Similar to its 4090 counterpart, the GeForce RTX 4070 20th anniversary edition incorporates the Parade PS8419 HDIM Retimer IC to bolster and stabilize HDMI signal quality, which is particularly beneficial for long HDMI cable connections.

As for a 20th anniversary edition of the GeForce RTX 4070 Super, its development remains uncertain. The GALAX GeForce RTX 4070 20th Anniversary Edition is expected to be released in the Chinese market in December, targeting exclusively Chinese consumers.
