ELSA in Japan introduced the ELSA VELUGA G5-AD 8200E, a high-end workstation. This new model is equipped with the Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7985WX and an NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada graphics card. The workstation is priced at just over $28000. The workstation's chipset is the AMD TRX50, and it features DDR5 128GB memory (32GB x 4/ECC Registered). For storage, it includes two NVMe M.2 SSDs, each with 1TB capacity, utilizing PCI Express 4.0 x 4 interfaces. The network capabilities comprise a 10 Gigabit LAN and a 2.5 Gigabit LAN port, along with compatibility with IEEE802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax wireless LAN standards and Bluetooth 5.2.
The power supply of the VELUGA G5-AD 8200E is a 1,600W unit with Platinum certification. Cooling is managed by two 180mm fans at the front and one 140mm fan at the rear. The workstation offers flexibility in installation, supporting vertical and horizontal placement, as well as rack mounting (though rack mount rails are required separately).
Regarding physical dimensions, the workstation measures 345mm in width, 485mm in depth, and 496mm in height when set up vertically. For rack-mounted configuration, the dimensions are 486mm wide, 524mm deep, and 220mm high. The unit weighs 20 kg.
