Word out on the web today is that the latest version of Denuvo (game copy protection), Denuvo 4.8, has been cracked or bypassed. A certain group has been successful to crack Sonic Forces; a game that uses Steam and Denuvo 4.8, which previously was not crackable.
The news reaches us through DSO gaming today, who reports that the popular Denuvo 4.8 was hacked. The protection is used in many triple-A games like Assassin’s Creed: Origins, Football Manager 2018, Need for Speed Payback, Star Wars Battlefront 2, Injustice 2 and Star Ocean: The Last Hope HD Remaster.
It has been a good run for this revision of Denuvo alright, as they have kept games safe for multiple months, the above-mentioned games never got cracked. For now, there is just this one crack for Sonic Forces. DSO reports that this, however, is a bypass crack. Meaning, Denuvo is still running in the background and thus still has VMProtect active on top of the Denuvo 4.8 protection.
Thanks kaz050 for the news-submit.
