Asia based Buffalo is set to release its latest Wi-Fi 7 router, the WXR18000BE10P, marking a significant advancement in wireless networking technology. This product, scheduled for early February 2024 distribution, stands out as the first domestically manufactured router to receive Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 7 certification.

The WXR18000BE10P supports tri-band functionality, operating across 6GHz, 5GHz, and 2.4GHz bands. A notable enhancement is the expansion of the 6GHz band's bandwidth from 160MHz to 320MHz, enabling a theoretical maximum communication speed of 11,529Mbps. The router also offers impressive speeds in the 5GHz band, with a theoretical maximum of 5,764Mbps, and 688Mbps in the 2.4GHz band. Its Multi-Link Operation (MLO) feature allows simultaneous use of all three bands, achieving actual data transfer speeds that exceed 13Gbps.

In addition to these features, the WXR18000BE10P is compatible with the Wi-Fi EasyMesh standard set by the Wi-Fi Alliance. This compatibility enables the creation of a mesh network, facilitating extensive wireless coverage throughout a home. Utilizing the 6GHz band for backhaul in the Wi-Fi EasyMesh system ensures stable communication and cleaner connections between the mesh controller and agents.

The router is equipped with various interfaces, including one 10 Gigabit LAN port, three Gigabit LAN ports, and one 10 Gigabit WAN port. Its security features encompass a range of protocols such as WPA3 Personal, WPA2 Personal, WPA/WPA2 Personal, WPA2/WPA3 Personal, and WEP (128-bit/64-bit). Additional security measures include Any Connection refusal, privacy separator, and MAC access restriction, with a capacity to register up to 64 devices.
