ASRock Announces TRX50 WS Motherboard for Ryzen Threadripper 7000 Series

ASRock announced the upcoming release of the TRX50 WS motherboard designed for compatibility with the Ryzen Threadripper 7000 and Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX series. The launch of this workstation motherboard in the domestic market is expected in mid-December, with pricing details pending.

This motherboard is notable for its server-oriented storage interfaces, including SlimSAS and MCIO options. The TRX50 WS is engineered with a robust power design, consisting of an 18+3+3 phase power circuit with 110A Smart Power Stages (SPS) and 20K Black Capacitors. Additionally, the motherboard incorporates four cooling fans within the heat sink for enhanced thermal management. The TRX50 WS is built with high-grade components suitable for server use, featuring a 12-layer Printed Circuit Board (PCB) fortified with a 2-ounce copper layer to ensure stability and durability under high-performance conditions.

  • Four DDR5-7600+ memory slots supporting RDIMM/RDIMM-3DS, with a maximum capacity of 1TB.
  • Storage expansion options with one Blazing M.2 slot and one Hyper M.2 slot, alongside four SATA 3.0 ports.
  • Multiple expansion slots, including two PCI Express 5.0 (x16), one PCI Express 5.0 (x4/x16 shape), one PCI Express 4.0 (x4/x16 shape), and one PCI Express 4.0 (x8/x16 shape).

For networking, the TRX50 WS offers a 10 Gigabit LAN via Marvell AQC113, a 2.5 Gigabit LAN through Dragon RTL8125BG, and includes Wi-Fi 6E with Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity.
