AMD invites you to a web seminar on October 4, 2022, to get a "exclusive first look" at the future AMD motherboards powered by the B650 and B650E chipsets.

Representatives from Asus, ASRock, Biostar, Gigabyte, and MSI will be there, in addition to AMD's product marketing manager. The one-hour online October 4th event will begin at 5 p.m. local time CET. Registration is necessary in advance. The webinar will provide an overview of the relevant manufacturer's selection, functions, and critical data on the new mainboards.

Mainboards with the chipsets B650 and B650E are expected to push the new socket AM5 platform for Ryzen 7000 CPUs into lower-priced territory. The X670 and X670E variants, which are projected to be quite pricey, will begin with improved equipment at the end of September.

The distinctions between the B650(E) and the X670 (E)

The differences between the chipsets are illustrated in this AMD picture (via VideoCardz). The B650(E) only has half as many USB and SATA ports as the X670 versions. PCIe 5.0 is only optional on the B650 and is exclusively meant for an M.2 SSD port. The B650E, on the other hand, has PCIe 5.0 for both the graphics card and an SSD, for a total of up to 20 PCIe 5.0 lanes.
