AMD is addressing compatibility issues with 24 GB and 48 GB DDR5 memory modules on its AM5 platform by working on the AGESA 1.0.0.7 BIOS update. The company is reportedly making progress on the release, and motherboard manufacturers may be able to roll out the update as early as next month or in May.

While Intel's 600- and 700-series motherboards have already provided support for these modules, AMD has yet to offer an official or beta BIOS update. Reports have indicated that although the BIOS can detect the memory, it has failed to boot into Windows. The latest report from a hardware leaker on Twitter suggests that AMD is aware of the issue and is working on the AGESA update to enable full compatibility with non-binary memory modules.
