The AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000WX series CPUs have been subject to performance evaluations, with the Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7995WX, the series' most advanced model, recording a significant benchmark achievement. A Cinebench R23 score exceeding 210,000 points was recently reported for the 7995WX model, following an overclocking endeavor by SafeDisk, a seasoned overclocker. This result highlights the processor's high-performance potential when overclocked to 6.2 GHz.

During the benchmarking process, the Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7995WX was cooled using liquid nitrogen, which allowed the CPU to operate at a temperature of -18°C. The processor consumed an average power of 389 watts in this state. This benchmark score outperforms that of Intel's premier data center CPU, the Intel Xeon W9-3495WX, which scored 132,484 points under similar cooling conditions. The AMD CPU's advantage is partly due to its core and thread count of 96/192, in contrast to Intel's 56/112.

The overclocking configuration for the Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7995WX included an ASUS Pro WS WRX90E-SAGE SE motherboard, which is optimized for intensive computational tasks such as AI, deep learning, animation, and 3D rendering. The system was outfitted with 256 GB of DDR5 memory at a frequency of 6400 MHz, using G.Skill's Zeta R5 Neo modules, and was paired with a GeForce GTX 980 Ti graphics card.

The Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7995WX stands as AMD's premier processor within this lineup, featuring 96 cores and 192 threads based on the Zen 4 architecture. The CPU operates across a frequency spectrum of 2.5 GHz to 5.1 GHz and is equipped with a substantial cache memory—384 MB of L3 and 96 MB of L2. With a base thermal design power (TDP) of 350 watts, the processor is also designed to support eight channels of DDR5 memory, as demonstrated by the 256 GB memory setup in the overclocking test, comprised of eight 32 GB modules.

The Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 series includes six different models, starting from a 12-core, 24-thread configuration, extending up to the flagship 96-core, 192-thread Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7995WX variant.
