AMD is diligently advancing the improvement and re-launch of its Radeon Anti-Lag+ technology, aimed at diminishing system latency. This initiative is a response to NVIDIA's Reflex technology, as confirmed by Frank Azor, AMD's gaming solutions chief, via Twitter. The re-introduction of Anti-Lag+ is not only pivotal for competitive gaming but also essential for the effectiveness of the FSR 3 frame-generation technology, which experiences latency issues evident in artifacts like ghosting during rapid 3D movements.

This need for latency reduction is paralleled by NVIDIA's integration of Reflex with its DLSS 3 Frame Generation to address similar challenges. Previously, the deployment of Anti-Lag+ was halted due to its unintended interference with some online games' anti-cheat systems, resulting in automatic bans that necessitated developer intervention for resolution. AMD is now re-engineering Anti-Lag+ to prevent such conflicts and plans extensive testing with competitive titles before its official reintroduction.
