The Navi 31 graphics processor boasts a significant die area of 529 mm² and accommodates a colossal 57,700 million transistors. Unlike the Radeon RX 7900 XTX, the GRE variant has strategically disabled certain shading units to achieve the target shader count. Equipped with 5120 shading units, 320 texture mapping units, and 192 Render Output Units (ROPs), along with 80 ray tracing acceleration cores, the Radeon RX 7900 GRE delivers substantial graphics processing power.

This card includes the latest AV1 hardware encoding and decoding, catering to content creators and streamers, aligning with the Radeon RX 7000 Series and similar Nvidia offerings.  Selecting the appropriate BIOS for your requirements: Opt for enhanced overclocking capabilities or prioritize quiet performance. Game Mode offers speeds of 2015 MHz (Overclocked) / 1925 MHz (Silent), while the Engine Clock Boost reaches up to 2355 MHz (Overclocked) / 2290 MHz (Silent).

Feeding the card is, of course, the PCIe slot, and two 8-pin power headers.  Hellhound incorporates an intelligent fan controller. By employing a smart chip that detects temperature, the fans are activated when the GPU reaches 55℃ and deactivated when it drops below 54℃. This precise temperature monitoring results in efficient cooling, reduced fan noise, and an extended product lifespan.

It's a sizable card at 32cm in length. In terms of aesthetics, the card's design is subtle, with white, red and dark hues, and it foregoes active LED lighting. The card features a substantial heatsink, with a small opening on the backplate designed for the last fan to expel hot air. It has a weight slightly above 1.25kg. The card comes with a Dual BIOS feature. The pricing details of this card remain undisclosed, but predictions place it at around $599. To revert to the factory BIOS fan profile after using a manual profile, you may need to perform a complete driver wipe and use Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) tool.
