Silencer 910W
A meet and greet with the Silencer 910W
On the next few pages we'll show you some photos. The images were taken at a high resolution and then cropped and scaled down. The camera used was a Canon 450D 12 MegaPixel.
So then, here we have the packaging so you know what to look for in the stores. The PSU inside is packaged and well protected in styrofoam and is delivered with all the basics like cabling and manual. No Chroma test report was included by the way, typically a signature from PC P&C. I do hope that they'll keep inserting that test report as it makes them stand out of the rest of the competition out there.
After unpacking, not a dent, scratch or even fingerprint smudge was on there. A shiny, nice black theme. What's not to like really? Also fairly hard to understand; that's a standard size ATX PSU ... yet it can push up-to a 1000 Watts, despite being a 910 of course. Very convenient as you can easily locate the PSU in pretty much any size ATX compatible PC chassis.
You'll notice the lack of big fans. There is only one exhaust fan really, 25 - 50 CFM ball-bearing. Due to it's small size and positioning, the PSU will make slightly more noise than the more modern ones out there. Not at all bad though, but yes you can hear it silently. There's a pretty nice and optimal airflow throughout the PSU.
The PSU is clearly stickered with it's specifications, and sure .. SLI certification. The PSU has a standard ATX design, meaning it'll fit in any chassis, it's dimensions are: 5.9 x 3.4 x 7.1 (W x H x D).
