SSD Performance HD Tune PRO

HD Tune Pro 4.5

HD Tune Pro is a hard disk utility and benchmarking utility for Windows. This tiny application allows you to scan your hard drives for errors or take a deeper look at several performance figures coming from the storage unit.

First  this, the numbers are so fast that the HDTune scale on the left isn't showing properly, the top bar is 2,000 MB/sec, then 1,500 MB/sec then 1,000 MB/sec and then 500 MB/sec.

We fire off 64 MB of data comprising out of sizes ranging from 0.5 KB to 8 MB. Check it out. As you can see once we pass 32 KB file size, the drive kicks in hard. Maximum peak writes are nearing 1,500 MB/sec while touching almost 1,750 MB/sec read peaks.

The read and write test for HDTune messed up a bit. No clue as to why and what is happening here. I mean its not bad, but should be higher.

It is the same for the write test.

HD Tune Pro allows random access read and write testing, a feature not available in other software tools. Check out the 1 MB READ performance topping 1,582 MB/sec.

Overall remarkable write IOPS performance as well. We get 1,469 MB/sec on the 1 MB files. Although explained a little arbitrary, each second this drive can write say 1,469 JPEG files with a size of 1 MB, per second.
