This cooler can either be used passively or actively with the included cooler. If you decide to take the passive route then you need to remove two small plastic strips that help guide the air going from the fan through the fins.
The CPU block is protected by a sticker; we see a flat/ mirrored surface. Flat cores give better good cooling performance.
The first thing you'll need to do is remove your mainboard from your PC. The CPU cooler requires you to mount a separate backplate. Please don't forget to insert some plastic washers here.
