A Killer E2400 NIC Ethernet Solution

The Killer E2400 NIC Ethernet

The motherboard will get two Killer Gigabit Ethernet Controllers, Killer E2400. Next tot that the WIFI is also Killer based, and to be honest is among the best we ever tested.

I know a lot of people frown upon Killer NICs, but the e2400 NICs and the AC WIFI Killer combo it just that, pretty killer (terrific). Its claimed that these NICs will allow you to game online with less lag. Killer gets traffic from the network, to the game, and back out to the network faster than any other PC network card. But I've always been a bit skeptical about the NIC as we say that lag is created outside your home network, e.g. in-between the router and the destination. The NIC can do very little about that, especially with the excellent Intel and Realtek NICs available these days. The sheer hardware design and next to it the software, is just really good though offering you a wide variety of settings and monitoring options.

It is a lovely solution and the software suite is just grand AND you can shape network traffic on your PC and monitor it. Which is just great stuff. Below a couple of screen-shots from the software suite.

If you look at the screen-shot above, interesting. If you connect say the two KillerNICs and have WIFI enabled, you can press the Killer DoubleShot Pro function. It is a teaming feature and all NICs will now work together. The APPs running on your system will be tagged and assigned to a NIC for traffic shaping and optimization. It is started that you can create a maximum of 2.867 Gbps this way.
