Mystic Light LED System

The Mystic Light LED System

So we really need to dedicate a page on the LED system on this motherboard as it is rather unique feature of this product. Nor is this RGB galore. Just quite one subtle color (only white) with a set of animations.

Throughout the motherboard hidden under it, and DIMM sockets are LED arrays. These are actually color configurable and called Mystic Light. The LEDs can be configured as ON / OFF with just one color of your preference, but also you can select animations. Basically you install the MSI Gaming app (6.1 or newer) and you will notice new features:

This is a software feature, meaning if your PC is turned off, the LED system will not work other than its default RED lights. Also if you run anything other than Windows Vista/7/8.1/10 this will not work. I do know that an Android app is in the works for this to work as well, it'll connect through Bluetooth I think. In the gaming app select the LED features and it will become quickly apparent what it can do. Photos, I can tell you, do not do any justice so I made a quick video demonstrating some options and LED animations. Have a peek at the video to get a bit of an idea what the Mystic Light LED system is all about, oh and as I bonus I included some Mystic themed music aaaight ?

** The video below is based on the Intel Z270 XPower Gaming Titanium. The board design is pretty much the same, the lighting as well. It serves only for demonstration purposes and example of the white activated LEDs.
