Performance System Memory: Memory Read Test
DDR4; we use 3600 MHz on the memory subsystem throughout all tests and benchmarks for DDR4, a value that is equal for both AMD and Intel systems when tested and applicable. Listed below are the latency values. DDR5; we are moving from 5200 MHz as default towards 6000 MHz. The new processors benefit from faster memory, which is getting cheaper. We have a 7200 MHz kit lying around and went forward with that one. It'll give the proc a tiny bit of an edge at best. We'll look into that differential deeper in a dedicated review.
