The noise level if the card is really really really quiet. This is partly due to a function called iTurbo, which simple adjusts rotational fan speed higher or lower depending on the GPU temperature.

When we flip the card around we can see the metal backside cooling plate. It covers the backside of the GPU a bit, but most of all it helps cool down the memory. Memory these days is not getting very hot anymore though, so the effectiveness of it can be questioned. Yet it's good to have it on there in my humble opinion.
