This purple slot is actually the AGP slot. That little white button will lock your AGP graphics card secure to your mainboard. You just pull it when you need to remove the graphics card.
This green couple are the RAID connectors. When you look a bit into the background you'll notice Gigabyte's DUAL BIOS.
I stated it before and will do it again, brilliant idea colorizing the connectors. Save's up a lot of hassle while installing the mainboard.
Now what I call an active fan people. It's huge and does it's job well. You won't hear it as it isn't loud. And if you woinder why it's on there .. it's cooling down the Intel chipset so that you can overclock that system of yours ;)
