The Cubeor Kanto is not your typical wood-trimmed case. It's a proper blend of beauty and functionality, with genuine wood integrated into the side and top panels, and a sleek matte black steel frame. Unlike other wood-trimmed cases, the wood is not just a veneer, making each Kanto case unique. These chassis are crafted in limited numbers as it's all done by hand.

The Kanto comes in several wood color options like Birch, Cherry, and Cognac. While each complements the overall design, it may be challenging to choose a favourite due to the Kanto's aesthetic appeal.

Despite its artistic design, the Kanto can house serious hardware. It supports mATX and ITX boards, a 280mm AIO, an array of cooling fans, and a 400mm, 4.3 slot GPU, with a maximum air cooling height of 172mm. Although the Kanto's structural support for the wood paneling and mATX board increases its size to 35L in volume, it is still comparable to other mid-tower cases. There are no fans delivered with this chassis, but LCS is pretty much mandatory to create a proper airflow inside the chassis.

While Cubeor's Kanto is not marketed as a small form factor (SFF) case, it is an excellent solution for the changing landscape of high-end SFF systems. It's a unique and handsome option for those who want their PC case to be functional and a work of art. The packaging was done decently, risk of damage is fairly minimal. Included are riser brackets for fan/LCS configuration at the front side. Also included in the bundle is the standard gear like screws, standoffs and zip-ties, and a fan grille.

Once you take the unit out of the cardboard box you'll notice two layers of foam protecting the unit, which on its end is covered in a plastic bag.

Once unpacked we see a little better what the chassis is all about. The chassis is made of a steel structure with plating and top-side plastic cover. The front side has one huge woody-based air intake.
