There is top 140mm fan; it is sleeve dynamic bearing. Even at decent load you'll have a hard time hearing this PSU alright. It is rather silent. The power supply dimensions are: 150mm(W) x 86mm(H) x 160mm(L). The length as you can see is one CM longer than the standard ATX form factor. The unit weighs just short of 2.5kg. The actual OEM of the CS850M is Greatwall, they have been working with Corsair for a long time already and have proven themselves to be very trust-worthy in terms of reliability. The overall quality is very good. So good that you will receive a 5 year warranty with the product.
When it comes to wiring we feel that there are enough connectors for this model, have a look at the supplied connectors, all with decent length by the way.

The ATX motherboard connector is ~60 CM, the 8-pin CPU ATX power connector is at a great length of roughly 65 cm and the PCIe graphics connectors reach a lovely 60 cm as well. Nice. This PSU only has the one CPU connector. In general people won't notice the lack of a second one but overclockers and at 850W would be preferred with two, or at least a modular alternative.
You will receve two PCI-E cables for a total of four connectors (6/8-pin combo). Definitely good enough for this power and price level.
