To the lower right you can see that you'll get 8 PCI slots to fool around with, in theory you can house up-to four graphics cards in here. I measured and graphics cards can even be up to 310~320mm in length before you bump into the front side mounted fans.

  • Maximum GPU Length 320mm
  • Maximum CPU Cooler Height 170mm
  • Maximum PSU length 200mm

You secure the graphics cards or other cards with a thumbscrew. At the top side we can see one 120mm fan, it is included and installed for you already. With another compartiment there obviously is plenty space on the backside to route all cabling through. We'll show you that in a bit.

Mounting a HDD could not be easier, the drive bay bracket has been updated from the previous models. At the left compartiment you'll have two of these 3.5” bays. You slide in the HDD and secure it with the clip, align the pin with the HDD and boom, locked.

Located at the right front you'll spot one two mounted 140mm fans. BTW I haven't mentioned it just yet but the Carbide Air 540 can handle ATX, Micro ATX, E-ATX, and Mini ITX compatible motherboards. And yes .. even E-ATX, nice.

At the bottom side we can see that the chassis rests on rubber feet, this prevents resonating noises coming from the PC, and makes your chassis more silent. It's all very decent really. There's a dust filter missing here though. The gaps you see is where the 3.5" HDDs are mounted.
