So hey now... meet Haswell, this is the Core i7 4770K. Familiar looking alright, processor package size wise. The processor is an Intel engineering sample showing only the codename QEH6.
Haswell processors are housed on a new LGA 1150 package, an all too familiar CPU socket. The good news is that your processor coolers will all fit perfectly on this CPU, the bad news is you'll need to purchase a new motherboard.
The Z87 motherboard used for our tests today is the Intel reference DZ87KLT-75K (Shark Bay) Motherboard.
