We also had to peek at memory bandwidth performance. Now, obviously Intel has an advantage here, triple-channel memory. This explains the tremendous amount of read performance for the socket 1366 Core i7 platform.
We see this often as well, we can not explain how 1333 MHz CAS9 timed memory can perform such numbers in dual-channel. The results don't lie though, The Core i7 800 series is just blazing fast with its memory controller.
Memory Write test
The same can be said for the memory write tests. Normally Intel dominates here considering we always use 1333 JEDEC timed memory. Triple channel performance on Nehalem is just frighteningly good. Let's move onward to some actual game testing.
