Once you have gotten a hang of user and account control versus your file shares, we move up a button. Activity monitoring. Anyone comfortable with Linux or Unix and servers will recognize the following screenshots. Basically, the Activity Monitor will allow you to peek inside your NAS to see what is going on. How much load your CPU is using, how active the network is, or even a list of processes running and the CPU utilization along with it (for the Linux mongers among us - that would be TOP).
