The 6800/6900 series will not (yet) replace the Navi lineup; it's a different product category as AMD did not have an enthusiast-class performing product that matched NVIDIA's performance in the enthusiast spectrum. The Radeon RX 6800 XT has 4608 stream/Shader processors active, the 6800 3840 units. This card registers back at 2360 MHz max Turbo clock for this particular graphics card model—all in all, good for an overall extra 4% in performance. ASUS has placed a dual-BIOS feature on the STRIX that lets you switch from "Quiet" BIOS to the "Performance" BIOS. The difference is fan RPM and a bit more cooling performance. The clock frequencies and power distribution are identical in both modes. Both BIOSes also offer fan stop in idle, meaning the card is passive there. The GPU VRM is based on a 14-phase design (Infineon XDPE132G5D). Then, another three phases feed the GDDR6 subsystem managed by an IR35217 controller.
