Performance - DDR3 Memory read | write

Memory Read test

Obviously we also had to peek at memory bandwidth performance. Now, obviously Intel has an advantage here, triple-channel memory. This explains the tremendous amount of read performance for the Core i7 platform.

This platform at 1333 MHz DDR3 memory in dual-channel configuration will get you close to the 8000 MB/sec, which is pretty good really.

Memory Write test

The same can be said for the memory write tests. Normally Intel dominates here considering we always use 1333 JEDEC timed memory. Triple channel performance on Nehalem is just frighteningly good. For the AMD800 series / X6 1090T combo expect close to 7000 MB/sec memory write performance.
