Performance System Memory: DDR4 Quad Channel Memory Read & Write

Performance System Memory: Memory Read Test

So for memory we had some good stuff to work with, Intel has a couple of certified partners for memory to get some sweet XMP 2.0 profiles going.

For DDR4 2133 MHz is the new norm, albeit 1333/1600 and 1866 MHz are supported as well. But 2133 MHz is what your BIOS will default to with JEDEC timings. With AIDA memory tests; we see good performance that's hovering at the 54K marker.

Memory Write Test

We did the same with the memory write tests. The Write perf jumps towards roughly 46K. When the system is overclocked you will achieve even higher results.

Above - Default clock frequency on CPU / 2133 Mhz on DDR4 - It is quad channel so that kicks in nicely.

And here an example with 2667 MHz (XMP enabled) on quad channel memory.
