FCAT Frame Experience Analysis Fallout 4

Fallout 4 Frame Experience Analysis

19667_per

Above, the percentile chart of the roughly 30 seconds gaming @ 2560x1440. Here we plot FPS and place it in relation to percentiles.

  • 50% of the time measured frames is doing roughly 47 FPS, so that is the average framerate (high = better).
I still need to do an FCAT on the GTX 950 hence I included a 390X for scaling and comparing a bit.

For those that do not understand what you are looking at, the above is a gametime scene recorded for ~30 seconds. With this chart, lower = better. Huge spikes above 40 ms to 50 ms can be considered a problem like a stutter or indicate a low framerate.

As you can see, the tiny microstutter in the 390X should be apparant at the 380X as well, likely the new Beta driver or game patches solved it as the 380X renders as smooth as can be. That is really good.
