Once you start up the M11x and boot into Windows, meet your desktop, 1366x768 pixels is what you get to fool around in. What's interesting before you get into your desktop though, is the login process. Alienware applied a new security feature that allows you to logon by face recognition. It works really well. So you teach the netbook your face through a wizard, then bind it to a username and password and the next time you boot up Windows, you look into the webcam and bam... you're logged in.

I had some mates try this out and nobody got in, except myself. It works fast as well, very nice.

There are some customizable features on your M11x, for example, each and every LED on the unit can be configured with a color of your preference. That includes logos, keyboard, front LEDs... very fun. Our unit came in blue... we ended in RED.

In the configuration software you can also stipulate and configure your power savings / energy consumption preferences.

I already mentioned the facial recognition software, you can configure it as well, to be really stringent... or a little more loose if you use the unit in a home situation where security is not required to be extremely tight.
